Careers

The school Library has a dedicated Careers resource area which is staffed by a fulltime Careers Adviser. Students have access to this area anytime the Library is open – 8.00 am to 3.00 pm.

Printed material, supported by Internet access to a wide range of sites, provides information to assist students in identifying careers and future pathways and students may make appointments to discuss careers development issues with the adviser anytime during the day.

Specific Services:

Workshops on letters of application, resumes and interview techniques
Current Tertiary Education information from all Universities and VET institutions
Assistance with subject selection for NTCE completion and Uni/TAFE entrance as well as Tertiary Education applications
Information on available Apprenticeships, Traineeships and employment opportunities, scholarships
Guest Speaker Program with representatives from various industries and further education institutions. Relevant excursions -are also organised.

Careers Adviser, Mrs Pam Kahl, is friendly and approachable and pleased to assist students with any queries or questions in relation to future careers and educational options.
